Stein, Baxter, Cosimano propel Warwick

Jon Stein took first place (15:37.1) in leading the Warwick boys' cross country team to the Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association Division II meet championship yesterday at Bear Mountain State Park.
Dave Baxter finished third for Warwick (16:08) and Mike Cosimano (16:10) was fifth.
Warwick edged Washingtonville in the girls' race by virtue of a tie-breaker. The teams had the same point total (29), but Warwick took first because the time of its sixth-best finisher (Danielle Trimpop, 20:14) was better than that of Washingtonville's sixth-highest finisher (Zuri Wilson, 20:25).
Washingtonville's Natay Hayes was the individual champion (19:01).
Tri-Valley's Zane Illing and Heather Iatauro won their respective races to lead their teams to victory in the OCIAA Division IV championships.
Illing completed the 3-mile course in 16:46. Iatauro won in 18:40.
